Alumni Team Update
Dear Alumni,
There is so much to say about the incredible people I've met over the last 8 years, that I couldn’t imagine where to start. I've had the honor of working with extraordinary thinkers committed to the vision of equity and the purpose of justice, who pursue a world that we can imagine but have not yet seen. I've been energized connecting people across Nashville and Chattanooga with this vision through storytelling, learning, and action in my roles with this organization.
I had the chance to meet with many of you, and some of you may only know me as the name in your inbox, but I'm writing to share that my role with Teach For America will come to a close at the end of this month.
Over the years, we have worked together to navigate more change than we could have ever imagined. We built relationships, learned together virtually, and we stood together at times when we were not sure how we'd continue to stand. I met many of you who had already spent decades in this work and even interviewed a few of you as you started your journey - just beginning to wonder how you could connect your path with your purpose.
I continue to be inspired by the strength, ingenuity, and passion of those of you who have chosen to invest your time and talents to educational equity, and I'd like to thank you for being a part of the TFA Network, and for allowing me to be a part of it for this time. Best wishes to all of you, and feel free to stay connected with me on LinkedIn.
In solidarity, Rachel Tompkins
