Wishing that you had a network to lean on while applying to school leadership jobs in MNPS? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Nashville Aspiring School Leader Fellowship (NASLF), would be a good fit for you. In collaboration with Apple, TFA is working to expand access to high-quality computer science learning. We’re looking for schools interested in developing and launching a Swift Coding Club for students. Swift is a robust and intuitive programming language created by Apple for building apps for iOS, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. Each participating school will receive a $2000 grant to offset the costs of running the club. If you’re interested in bringing a coding club to your school, please apply here.


Are you a teacher with a fun, creative STEM project? In partnership with Teach For America, General Motors is proud to support projects focused on innovation and diversity in STEM. This is why we need you! General Motors is looking to fund 25 projects up to $1,000 per project. Projects need to be added to DonorsChoose.org by January 12, 2022. The TFA Nashville-Chattanooga Alumni Team is excited to offer Professional Development Scholarships to alumni living in Nashville and Chattanooga.


The purpose of these Professional Development Scholarships is to expand access to leadership development for TFA alumni living in our region and to create pathways toward key roles impacting education.

The Catalyst Fellowship is excited to announce the launch of applications for the 2022 Cohort. The Catalyst Fellowship provides rigorous professional development for current and aspiring school system leaders through seminars, online learning modules, community building, and coaching. The early deadline for applications is January 5, 2022. Rural School Leadership Academy (RSLA) This fully sponsored year-long fellowship is for current and aspiring school leaders working in rural communities. RSLA participants engage with a supportive and inspirational cohort of leaders from across the country. Participants deepen the skills necessary to amplify and sustain their work in rural education. The Education Trust in Tennessee will host a School Funding Bootcamp for advocates prior to the reconvening of the 112th General Assembly on January 10th. Attendees will learn about 1) the basics of school funding 2) the BEP formula 3) potential equity-centered funding solutions and 4) how to advocate successfully on what is needed for Tennessee's students.

Join TECA's new professional learning series. This session is an introduction to education policy at the local and state levels. Information about the policy structures in Tennessee and the various decision-making bodies will be discussed. It will also provide some insight around some suggested advocacy strategies that educators can use to engage policymakers and key stakeholders at either local district and state levels. Jan 12th, 2022 at 4 PM CT.
